How to Write an Anecdotal Story

In this workshop you will learn about an anecdotal story building system to design, develop and deliver a story.

• We will break down the winning speech of the Toastmasters’ 2014 world championship, Dananjaya Hettiarachchi, unpack the strategy behind it, and analyze the performance of the speaker.
• Each of the applied techniques will be demonstrated and reinforced with an example of Dananjaya Hettiarachchi on stage using it.
• You will be given time to craft your story step by step during the workshop.
• You will receive the structure to develop a speech from your anecdotal story, for future presentations.
• At the end of the workshop, you will have gained deep insight into what makes a story great and memorable.
